    you can install in windows but not safe for ur system and it leads to many problem . my kind advice you to install in linux redhat are ubuntu so it will be very easy to install as well as it will support good one because for protocol implementation you need to combine c++ in linux only you can do it.In my blog just see the installation proc for tht in ubuntu. ANy doubts pls free to contact me

    I am doing my project in ns2.The area i have chosen is wireless mesh networks. sir, I don't know how to create a topology for mesh networks in ns2. i had created a topology for adhoc networks and the packet transmission also is done.     Hello Prasanna,i am trying to implement a new protocol in WSN,i am done with the theoretical logic design,but not getting enough pointers to start through project. i am done with installation of NS2, but not getting where to start and how to accomplish implementing my own routing protocol in WSN.can u please guide me with some pointers or tutorial kind of thing to create WSNs and deploying my own routing protocol.
    for example,things i need to do:
    1. Creating WSN with min of 100 nodes scattered in a plot.
    2. Cluster formation and cluster head selection.
    3. Routing packets to and from BS and nodes.
    4. Its query based approach, so sending query and receiving info.

    I have to wind up this project asap. So any guidance please do provide.
